Para los arquitectos Hertl Architekten el trabajo a realizar consistía en renovar el edificio y ampliar a dos plantas cuando solamente poseía una.

El elemento más notable de todo el proyecto es el muro cortina. Y nunca mejor dicho, porque este edificio instala en su fachada una cortina, como de un interior se tratase.

Un objeto decorativo que normalmente es usado en interiores, funciona como revestimiento de fachada dejando los huecos de ventana accesibles para su disfrute.

Once the building was a restaurant, composed of two bars, bounded by a cross wing. They are separated now.

For Hertl Architekten the challenge was to renovate one of the buildings and to expand it to two flats. The first floor and the cellar can be reached by an outdoor stairway made of concrete while the existing roof was removed.

The most ingreaguing element of the project is the light grey curtain covering the external walls: a decorative object, normally used indoor, is building a fascinating facade.
